This is nice. Was the tonal done with markers or photoshop? If it was done with photoshop did you keep the sketch a a greyscale and then add color or did you use RGM and just play with the greys in the pallet box? The reason I was asking is that I have buckeled down and spent the weekend learning ps and illostratoir. Hope you get over the cold. Kevin
hey kevin, thanks!!this was done in photoshop. the image is grey scale. its just a bunch of layers with the top layer being the drawing that is set to multiply and i work on the layers below filling it in. i used about six layers below the drawing layer two are for flats(solid greys) for each character two are for midtones and two are for highlights. ths is just to have some flexibility as i can play with the levels of each layer after i have done some work on it. ihope that makes sense!!
Man your very own comic! Dude that's awesome! The images are lookin' oh so nice too sir! I'm sure it's gonna turn out great. Best of luck getting over the cold and with work and the new appartment, and, and, and.... well everything I suppose. Still missing the fooze man! Later tater.
robin, beautiful work. i see that you have recently relocated to vancouver, bc. i got my diploma in 2d animation there.i live in victoria now, but still commute there for work. may i ask what you are working on presently? andrew
Robin that made perfect sence and a much better work space by just multiplying the orininal drawing. In the past I would rename the baground image after I scaned it in PH and then just keep adding layers making at time a really large file. Thanks for the explanation.
