Nice!! Now stick some cools in there for contrast. Maybe some pale green in the moat? Or better yet,on the characters to lead the eye to the goodness.Or tell me to shut up. Whatever works ;)
The pallette is nice.
I would give those characters some of that white bluish moon lighting around their edges to highlight them and bring the focus to hem. Coolio brother.

very cool, I love the monkey especially. they showed us some old action analysis animations from third year and your name came up, I thought that was pretty cool! I'll check back again to see the progress you make, but it's looking good so far
