Wow, I love the raw pencils for this and the color is working great too! I look foward to seeing the finished piece.

Also, good to hear you have another sketchbook on the way, January isn't all that far off, I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Nice!! Now stick some cools in there for contrast. Maybe some pale green in the moat? Or better yet,on the characters to lead the eye to the goodness.

Or tell me to shut up. Whatever works ;)

I would give those characters some of that white bluish moon lighting around their edges to highlight them and bring the focus to hem. Coolio brother.

very cool, I love the monkey especially. they showed us some old action analysis animations from third year and your name came up, I thought that was pretty cool!

I'll check back again to see the progress you make, but it's looking good so far

hey lambe and kevin, absolutely agreed!! i am working under the great Branislav Perkovic at work and he is taking me under his big wings and teaching me how to paint. If you dont know who Branislav's work just look at the bgs for nocturna, as those are his art direction or you can see his site http://www.artofbranislavperkovic.com/

Hey Robin Hall,
lol good old sheridan!! i hope you learned from my crappy mccrap animation. i didnt really learn to animate till i got out of sheridan and worked under Dave Quennelle. He is the best teacher i have ever had!! iheard a rumor that he might not be at sheridan anymore but if he is milk him for all his knowledge!!
hey ranny, if i am genious you are super genious!!thanks !!
Hey Ramon, thanks!!glad to hear you are still alive!!

Hey Robin, how the hell are you?
I stumbled upon your blog and had to drop you a note.

The painting is working nicely...I don't dare say more because Branislav is your mentor :)...he taught me pretty much everything I know. Listen to him and you will rise...

In any case, if you want to say hi please do...goran@crazybrush.com

All the best to you!
